Alreinamedia.com-In order to provide optimal health services for the flood victims, the South Kalimantan Provincial Health Office (Kalsel) went to the flood location by setting up two posts in different locations, the first in Tajau Landung Village and Kelampaian Hilir Village, Banjar Regency.
This was conveyed by the Head of the South Kalimantan Health Service, Diauddin through the Head of the Surveillance and Immunization Section, Abdul Chaliq when met at the flood location in the Tajau Landung area, Banjar Regency, Wednesday (15/2/2023).
Chaliq said that this activity was initiated by the Governor of South Kalimantan, Sahbirin Noor, by responding directly to setting up a post at the point in the flood-affected area.
“Thank God, today we have established two posts, namely in Kalampayan Ilir and Tajau Landung, Banjar Regency,” he said.
He said, currently the command post team has provided health services to around 120 residents affected by the floods.
“We have provided health services, there are around 85 residents at the Tajau Landung post and around 40 residents at the Kalampayan Ilir post,” he said.
As for the types of services provided, namely the provision of ointments and medicines for people who suffer from itching due to flooding and other health services such as treatment for people with hypertension, pregnant and lactating women by providing additional food and medicines.
“For the community to maintain health and PHBS, and continue to access health services at the nearest Puskesmas if they are sick so they don’t wait for the illness to be severe,” he said.
In the future, his party will also monitor other areas affected by flooding and will set up posts in different locations.
“Tomorrow in West Martapura we will set up a post and coordinate with the Banjar Health Office and the village office at which point the service needs to be provided,” he concluded. (Adnan)
